Epson Stylus D68P Ink Replacement Guide

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.
  2. Open the printer's top cover and then press and release the Ink icon button. Do not press this button for more than three seconds or the printer will automatically go to the printhead cleaning process.
  3. The ink cartridge's carriage will automatically move, so make sure to wait for it to completely stop moving before you proceed.
  4. Open the ink cartridge lid and press the tab at the end of the cartridge that needs to be replaced to release it, then pull the cartridge out from the printer.
  5. Get your new CompAndSave Epson Stylus D68P ink cartridge. Shake the ink cartridge for about 4 to 5 times before opening it from the package. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color and the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  6. Insert the new ink cartridge into its respective slot. Push the cartridge until it snaps the lock into place. Then close the ink cartridge lid.
  7. Close the printer's top cover and press the Ink icon button to start the ink charging process. Let this finish on its own to avoid wasting ink.

    I had to find a new ink supplier as my previous one went out of business. I was glad to find Comboink but was a little hesitant because the price was so good/low but I'm happy to say that I'm very pleased with this replacement ink. \ \ I had to replace the cartridge in the middle of a run of cards and there was absolutely no difference in this ink vs the old one. Happy dance! \ \ I'm also impressed with the lightening fast ship/delivery and received ink well in advance of estimated delivery date.\ \ My printer was a bit onery and pretended like the cartridge wasn't replaced but after pressing the "ink" button 3 times, it accepted the new cartridge.\ \ I was with my last supplier for 12 years and I'll gladly stay with Comboink just as long!

    The price is great, 3 cartridges for less than half of what Staples charges for 1. The quality is the same as original equipment cartridges. Only con: It may take a little extra work getting cartridge to work in printer = comes with instructions of what to do if printer rejects it at first, steps should get cartridge working in printer. My first of three did not work, did not have time to play with it so put second cartridge in and it works fine. Have not followed steps to retry first cartridge yet. Worst comes to worst = if only one of the three work, you still only paid 1/2 of what you would have at an office supply store. Will buy again.
